String duo Unknown Lyric and poet Latajah Lassus set to headline Scribes & Vibes LIVE on Main Street in Main Street Lithonia for Black Friday Celebration segment, sponsored by the Blerd & the Beautiful, on Friday, November 25, 2022.
The program, which includes a local author market and local artist market, takes place on Friday, November 25th at the Black Dot Cultural Center & Bookstore from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The LIVE on Main Street initiative invites the community to experience the arts from an economic perspective through an evening of spoken word, poetry readings, open mic, book signings, and art exhibitions.
In addition to providing a safe-space for positive recreation, Scribes & Vibes is dedicated to helping the local arts scene secure a sense of economic vitality. The net profit from all autographed book sales, art sales, and/or admission fees benefit the local arts; albeit the creative or local artist, a local arts agency, an independent bookstore, or a center for the arts.
